Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 August 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov held talks with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates Khalif Shahin al-Marar in the format of video conference.
During the conversation, topical issues of multifaceted bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment and other spheres were discussed.
It was emphasized at the meeting that the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UAE in March 2019 opened a new page in the history of bilateral relations, brought to a qualitatively new level and filled the interaction between Uzbekistan and the UAE with practical content.
They also exchanged views on the timing of upcoming joint events at various levels, including the next round of bilateral political consultations.
The importance of establishing cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, exchange of best practices in the field of lawmaking and parliamentary control was noted.
The parties considered the issues of social, legal and material support for our fellow citizens working in the UAE.
