Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 November 2022, First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov met with Zayda Manatta, head of the secretariat of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Information Exchange for Tax Purposes.
During the conversation, topical issues of Uzbekistan’s participation in the activities of the Global Forum were discussed, which provides an opportunity to introduce international standards, move to a fundamentally new level of exchange, combat tax evasion, money laundering and corruption.
Manatta noted the importance of Uzbekistan joining the Global Forum and expressed her readiness to provide all possible assistance in providing technical support to improve the system of international exchange of tax information.
Zayda Manatta was informed about Uzbekistan’s commitment to further deepening comprehensive economic reforms and transformations aimed primarily at building a competitive market economy integrated into international economic relations.
The Global Forum (GF) was established in 2000. to ensure global transparency in the world and the implementation of international standards for the exchange of information for tax purposes. It currently has 164 members.
