Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 January, an invasion of a very cold air mass formed over the northern regions of the European part of Russia will begin on the territory of Uzbekistan through Volga region, Uzhydromet said in a statement.
On 9-11 January, precipitation (rain, snow) will pass over most of the territory of Uzbekistan. In the foothills and mountainous areas, snow is heavy in places.
On 9-10 January, in some places the wind may increase up to 15-20 m/s.
On 10-15 January, abnormally cold weather is expected in the republic. The air temperature will drop at night to 12-17 degrees below zero, in the daytime to 5-8 degrees below zero; in the north at night up to 17-22 degrees below zero, in Ustyurt and the desert zone in some places up to 25-27 degrees below zero, in the daytime up to 7-10 degrees below zero, in the south and the Ferghana Valley at night up to 5-10 degrees below zero, in the daytime up to 2-5 degrees below zero.
