From the 2022/2023 academic year, the contract for all girls studying in the graduate programs to be reimbursed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On measures to further accelerate work on systemic support for families and women" was adopted.

In accordance with the Decree, from 1 September 2022, women who have continuous work experience over the past 6 months in all legal organizations, except for budget ones, are paid monthly maternity benefits at the expense of the budget based on the minimum consumer spending.

From 2022/2023 academic year:

1.8 trillion soums will be allocated annually from the budget to banks to provide an interest-free loan for 7 years to pay for the contracts of girls studying at universities, technical schools and colleges, at correspondence and evening departments;

all girls studying in the graduate programs of thestate universities will be reimbursed for contractual payments, and at least 200 billion soums will be allocated for this annually;

foreign universities annually receive additional grants through the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation for bachelor’s programs - for 50 girls, for master’s programs - for 10 girls;

annually, educational contracts for 2,100 girls from socially vulnerable families, orphans or students left without parental care are paid from the local budget;

500 women who have at least 5 years of work experience in their specialty, but do not have a higher education, are annually admitted to state universities on a contract basis on the recommendation of the State Committee for Family and Women Affairs based on the results of individual tests in excess of the general quota;

for female doctoral students of state scientific organizations or universities, at least 300 target quotas are allocated annually.
