Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In connection with the introduction of an automated system for paying for fares in public transport, from 1 December 2021, the Tashkent Metro will stop accepting tokens for travel.

It is also reported that for the convenience of the payment system, all stations of the Tashkent Metro are equipped with QR-code tickets, transport and bank cards, as well as modern stationary validators that allow payments via NFC.

The sale of tokens has been discontinued since November 2020, however, they have been accepted until now. This was reported by the press service of the Tashkent metro.
