“Friendship Garden” to be established in Afghanistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jamshid Abduzukhurov held talks with officials from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, experience exchange, and the implementation of joint projects. A key highlight of the visit was an inspection of a 100-hectare plot allocated for the “Friendship Garden” initiative.
The project aims to introduce modern agricultural technologies and foster collaboration between experts from both countries. Its implementation will support the development of intensive horticulture in Afghanistan, increase fruit production, create new jobs, and contribute to sustainable economic growth in the region.
The “Friendship Garden” initiative symbolizes the strengthening of bilateral ties between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, built on principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and mutually beneficial partnership.
