French envoy to Uzbekistan visits UZEX

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Jacques-Henry Heuls paid a visit to the Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) on 6 May 2014.

The visit was aimed at familiarizing with the activities of the UZEX and discussing perspectives of development of the Uzbek-French cooperation in the sphere of commodity exchange.

During the meeting, the Uzbek side presented activities of the exchange and its results in recent years. The mechanism of exchange and electronic auction trades were presented as well.

The external trade activities of the UZEX were also considered. The terms of participation of foreigners at the exchange trades were discussed as well.

The sides agreed to continue close and fruitful cooperation at the end of the meeting.
