Freight and passenger transportation volume via Navoi airport increases by 22%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of cargo and passenger transportation through Navoi International Airport increased by 22% in the first half of 2010.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan announced this on 16 July at its session dedicated to social-economic development of the country in January-June 2010.

The Government of Uzbekistan in cooperation with Korean Air created International inter-modal logistic center at the Navoi international airport.

The Center is used as trans-continental forwarding hub, uniting Eastern and Southern Eastern Asia with Europe, Middle East and the CIS countries.
