Free meals to be introduced in Uzbek schools

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From the next academic year, free meals will be introduced in schools in all regions and the city of Tashkent. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his address to the Parliament.

“Since the beginning of the year, 285,000 primary school students in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm have received free meals. We have accumulated sufficient experience in this regard,” the head of state noted.

“Now, from the next academic year, this practice will be introduced in schools in other regions and the city of Tashkent, 2.3 trillion soums will be allocated for this,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev
