Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 October, representatives of the management of UzAuto Motors contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs and reported that the START CARS leasing company, located in Yunusabad district of Tashkent, sells Chevrolet Onix cars, not manufactured by UzAuto Motors, with an unspecified price to citizens for 160,485,577 soums.

In this regard, UzAuto Motors asked to take legal action upon the fact.

On the basis of an appeal on 13 October, an operational event was held by the law enforcement bodies, during which the director and manager of Start Cars LLC were detained with material evidence in the Yunusabad district of the capital, when they took from the buyer 160,500,000 soums in exchange for the delivery of a Chevrolet Onix car to the buyer until January 2023.

A criminal case against the executives of Start cars LLC under paragraph “a” of part 4 of Article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan was initiated and investigations are underway.
