Fourth plenary session of Senate to be held in December

On 19 November, the Council of the upper house of the Uzbek parliament adopted a resolution on convocation of the third plenary session of the Senate in Tashkent on 3 December 2015.

Senate will consider the state budget of Uzbekistan for 2016 and the programme on creation of jobs and employment of population for 2016.

The plenary session of the Senate will consider several laws of Uzbekistan directed at gradual reforming and liberalizing all spheres of political and social-economic life of the country, implementing amendments to the Constitution.

In particular, Senators will consider laws “On electronic government”, “On approval of Customs Code of Uzbekistan” (new edition), “On introduction of changes and amendments, as well as abolishment of some legislative acts in connection with adoption of the Customs Code of Uzbekistan”, “On veterinary”, “On medicaments and pharmaceutical activities” (new edition), “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan”.

The Senate will discuss a report of the Prosecutor-General on adopted measures on strengthening legality, protection of rights and interests of the citizens and business entities.

The plenary session will also consider other issues, related to the jurisdiction of the Senate.
