Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12-13 December, Tashkent hosted the 15th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The conference was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, heads of local and foreign universities, foreign industry experts, local and foreign media workers.
At the forum "Humanitarian cooperation: 30 years of experience and development prospects", issues of development and strengthening of mutual cooperation were discussed. Also, within the framework of the forum, a concert program of the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra was held at the State Academic Theater of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi.
Special recognition during the forum was given to those who make a worthy contribution to the development of the Commonwealth, carrying out effective activities in the field of science and education, culture and art, and the humanitarian direction.
In particular, this year the international awards "Stars of the Commonwealth" and "Debuts of the Commonwealth" were awarded to representatives of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan. People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Ramiz Usmanov and architect-designer of Profi Solutions Ikrom Khaydarov also received recognition.
During the conference, more than 200 industry experts from the CIS countries and local experts exchanged views on the development of science, education, sports, tourism and other areas, proposals for further strengthening the place of youth in society.
A number of agreements were also reached on the work that needs to be done for the development of industries.
