Former head of Izbaskan district arrested

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The former head of Izbaskan district of Andijan region, Serobiddin Ismailov, was arrested.

He was detained on charges of abuse of power (Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code) and violation of procedures for the provision of land plots (Part 2 of Article 229-4 of the Criminal Code), the press service of the regional court reported.

Ismailov was dismissed from the post of khokim on 10 December. He has held this post since 2018.
