Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan, from 10 September, has canceled the procedure that has been in force since September 2020 and related to the stay of foreign citizens in the country under quarantine conditions.
The government of Uzbekistan issued a corresponding resolution on 30 August 2021.
In connection with the pandemic in Uzbekistan, administrative measures were not applied for violating the rules of stay before the end of the quarantine period in relation to foreign citizens whose temporary stay in the quarantine zone has expired, as well as the homeowners and officials who received them.
Foreigners who arrived in Uzbekistan without a visa on an electronic and tourist visa, after the quarantine period, were allowed to leave the territory of the country within 30 days without issuing an exit visa.
At the same time, foreigners from countries, with which a visa-free regime was introduced, as well as foreign citizens living on a visa basis, after the quarantine period expired within three working days, were allowed to apply to the territorial body of internal affairs for renewal of registration at the place of temporary stay through the individuals who invited (received) them. and legal entities.
The period of registration at the place of temporary stay was extended from the date of the expiry of the quarantine period.
From 10 September, the above procedure will be canceled. “Starting from 10 September, we ask citizens of foreign states, as well as individuals and legal entities who have invited them, to observe the rules for the stay of foreigners on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to extend the terms of temporary registration. Citizens of foreign states or stateless persons with expired periods of stay must leave the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” said Sanjar Kasimov, head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent.
He recalled responsibility for violation of the rules of stay and reception of citizens of foreign states and stateless persons.
