Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 December 2022, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov held talks with the Italian Ambassador to Afghanistan (with residence in Doha) Natalia Quintavalle.

During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the level of development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy. An exchange of views took place on the situation in Afghanistan.

The importance of developing joint steps by the international community aimed at resolving the acute humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan was noted.
