Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Türkiye Discuss Middle East Situation at Meeting in Istanbul

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 March, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The meeting took place on the sidelines of an informal session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States in Istanbul.

The sides exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and its potential regional implications. The ministers reaffirmed their shared commitment to reducing tensions and resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy in the interest of maintaining peace and stability.

They also underscored their determination to ensure the full implementation of agreements reached during the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council held in January this year under the co-chairmanship of the presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
