Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 December 2020, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and Federal Adviser (Minister) of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation Ignazio Cassis.
The heads of the foreign ministries discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Swiss multifaceted relations.
The parties confirmed their interest in strengthening trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, implementing joint projects to develop infrastructure in rural areas, and introducing resource-saving and energy-efficient technologies.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of interaction between the two countries within the UN, OSCE and other international structures.
They also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels.
