Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 October, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Russia Sergei Lavrov.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the ministers discussed the results of the meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which was held on 15-16 September in Samarkand. In the context of the Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan, signed by the heads of states on the sidelines of the summit, the mutual disposition to further all-round strengthening of allied relations was confirmed.

The Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation exchanged views on issues of Russian-Uzbek foreign policy cooperation as part of the implementation of the Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2023.
