Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – 24 March 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Italian Republic.
On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio exchanged congratulatory messages.
The letter of the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan notes that over the past years a solid foundation of bilateral relations has been created, the practice of interaction has been established through the European Union, UN institutions and other international organizations.
Confidence was expressed in expanding and strengthening the traditionally friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and Italy for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy in his message stressed that the interaction between Uzbekistan and Italy has turned into a strong partnership, as evidenced by regular dialogue at various levels and formats.
“Italy welcomes the strengthening of relations between Europe and Uzbekistan and, to this end, supports the signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union,” Luigi Di Maio said in a letter.
