Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and India held talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 11 October 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov in Nur-Sultan, within the framework of the ministerial meeting of the countries participating in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, held talks with the Minister of External Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

During the conversation, the Indian side highly appreciated the current level of interstate cooperation, especially noting their progressive and dynamic nature of development.

They discussed the prospects for trade and economic cooperation in various fields, expanding the dialogue of the parties within the framework of international organizations.

A thorough exchange of views took place on the current situation in Afghanistan, including on the provision of humanitarian assistance to the country.

The Indian side expressed its readiness to continue to actively cooperate with Uzbekistan in the soonest establishment of a long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.
