Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjártó in New York on 20 September 2022.
In recent years, the Uzbek-Hungarian relations of strategic partnership, based on centuries-old historical closeness and close ties between the peoples of the two countries, are characterized by high dynamics.
The mutual commitment of the parties to the comprehensive implementation of the decisions of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Hungary, adopted on the basis of mutual visits, was confirmed. The schedule and organizational aspects of upcoming events, including the next meeting of the Uzbek-Hungarian Business Council and the Business Forum, were considered.
The coincidence of views and approaches on issues of world and regional politics was noted with satisfaction. The continuation of the practice of providing mutual support within the framework of international institutions, such as the UN, OSCE, UTC, etc., was announced.
The delegations noted the importance of taking joint measures to increase the volume and diversify the structure of trade turnover, create favorable conditions for investing capital and implementing investment projects, maintaining direct contacts between business entities, as well as enhancing interregional contacts.
The interest of Uzbekistan and Hungary in building up ties in the fields of education, science and innovation was expressed.
