Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 February 2021, within the framework of a working visit to Kabul, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hanif Atmar.

The meeting discussed topical issues of Uzbek-Afghan constructive cooperation, including interaction in the spheres of politics, security, trade, investment and others.

The Afghan side reaffirmed the country’s leadership’s unwavering support for the consistent efforts of Uzbekistan to facilitate the peace process in Afghanistan and its economic recovery.

At the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on other issues of the international and regional agenda.

Afghan partners are invited to the High Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, which will be held this year in Tashkent.
