Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 March 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hanif Atmar.
At the beginning of the conversation, the heads of the foreign ministries exchanged sincere congratulations and warm wishes in connection with the traditional spring holiday of the awakening and renewal of nature - Navruz.
The ministers discussed the state and prospects of Uzbek-Afghan relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
Particular attention wass paid to the implementation of transport, communication, energy and other infrastructure projects, in particular, the construction of the Surkhan-Puli-Khumri power line and the Mazar-i-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway.
The parties reviewed and agreed on a plan for upcoming bilateral events.
During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the issues of the joint agenda.
