Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Tashkent on an official visit today, Dunyo news agency reported.

At the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov, the Chinese delegation was met by Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov.

In accordance with the program of the visit, the Chinese Foreign Minister will take part in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, and will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of the SCO family countries.

On 28-29July, a regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO member states will be held in Tashkent.
