Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A study conducted by UNICEF jointly with partner organizations involved 22,854 students from 299 schools from all 14 regions of Uzbekistan. The aim of the study was to better understand the needs of adolescents and school-related factors affecting their mental health and psychosocial well-being.
The study shows that more than 10% of students experience lack of social connection and isolation: 1 in 10 students do not feel connected to their school (8.7%), even more that they were not part of their school (13.1%) or that they were lonely in their classes (16.7%).
In addition, according to the data presented, the mental health of primary health care workers (more than two-thirds) experience stress, acute anxiety, frustration, exhaustion and burnout, depression and depression.
In this regard, UNICEF also introduced a digital platform for health professionals. It is aimed at providing the necessary psychological support for the prevention and elimination of emotional burnout caused by increased workload and stress.
