Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - This morning the planes could not take off and land at the airports of Namangan and Andijan due to poor visibility. Uzbekistan Airports said in a statement.

Due to heavy fog - visibility is about 50 meters - the Ural airline flight SVR2161, en route from Kazan, could not land in Namangan at 08:48 and left for an alternate airfield in Tashkent.

Another flight HY9620 also failed to land in Namangan due to weather conditions and left for an alternate airfield in Fergana.

The situation is similar at the Andijan airport. The flight HY-622/621 of Uzbekistan Airways, en route from Moscow, could not land at the destination airport at 10:45 and was sent to an alternate airfield in Fergana.

According to forecasts of the meteorological service, these airports will be closed due to weather conditions until approximately 14:00. All scheduled flights will be redirected to the nearest alternate airfields.
