Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ferghana Oil Refinery (FNZP) commented on the situation with its worker, who doused herself and set the fire. The plant said that on the morning of Tuesday, 2 August, at 7:37, Sanobarhon Khaidarova, who works at the enterprise as a painter of the 2nd category in shop No. 32, was not allowed to enter the territory of the enterprise at the factory gate of the 1st sector, because she did not have the appropriate permit.
The security guards, following their official duties, denied the right to enter a colleague. On this fact, Sanobarhon Khaidarova aggressively expressed her indignation at the situation against the security guards. After a short dialogue at the entrance, she left the building. The plant has all the video materials confirming these actions. In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, these video materials can be sent to law enforcement agencies in the prescribed manner.
An hour later, at 8:31, Sanobarhon Khaidarova returned and, right before approaching the checkpoint of the 1st sector, poured gasoline on herself from a plastic bottle. Entering the entrance building, she tried to set herself on fire. Seeing these actions, the FNPZ security officers immediately tried to prevent self-arson. However, the employee managed to initiate a fire, her clothes caught fire. The security guards quickly extinguished the flames using a fire extinguisher and rags. However, Sanobarkhan Dekhkonovna has already managed to get significant burns, preventing the provision of assistance.
Also at 8:31 a.m., Barno Obidova, a nurse from the FNPZ medical unit, who was on duty at the checkpoint, called the company’s medical assistance team. At 8:37 am, Sanobarhon Dekhkonovna was sent by ambulance to the burn department of the hospital in Ferghana. The car arrived at the reception at 8:45 am. Currently, our colleague is in the hospital under the close supervision of doctors and her colleagues from the FNPZ.
Of course, such actions cannot be performed without certain reasons. In this situation, the plant considers it necessary to provide only general facts, since the plant does not have the right to disclose details about the lives of employees.
Sanobarhon Khaidarova was born on 1 January 1975 in Tashlak district. She is married and has 4 daughters, currently married, lives in Kuva district.
As a result of communication with eyewitnesses, it is known that she has a suicidal tendency and, before being hired, she was seen more than once in situations close to the one indicated above, but then the threats were more verbal, but were also sent to previous employers. Detailed information about this was sent to the authorized bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and can be requested from them in the prescribed manner by the media.
Sanobarhon Khaidarova was transferred to the position of a painter of the 2nd category of the 1st repair and construction site of the 32nd shop of the FNPZ, after working at the Neftchi sports complex.
In April 2022, a number of employees of shop 32 were offered to go to work in the Repair and Construction Mechanical Department (RSMU) of the enterprise, due to the fact that this unit is actively involved in the modernization process of the enterprise. The working conditions at the RSMU do not differ from those at the FNPZ in any way, in particular, in terms of wages, position and grade. The management of the enterprise with the staff of shop 32, which employs more than 400 employees, in April of this year carried out explanatory work on the translation, explained the conditions. 400 people can witness this work. In accordance with the internal procedures and labor legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the employer is obliged to issue a manual notice of the transfer to employees no later than 2 months in advance, if they agree. Similar notices were issued to all employees, including Sanobarhon Khaidarova. This notice expired on 9 June. However, with the employee on a permanent basis, already after the expiration of the term, work was carried out to explain the transfer to the RSMU and there were no actions on the part of the plant administration aimed at dismissing her.
At the same time, as part of the women’s council, on 1 August, Sanobarhon Khaidarova turned to the plant management with a request for help in family matters. During the conversation with the management, it became known about certain difficulties in the family. On the part of the management, the employee was informed of the following position: the plant is ready to support the employee in a difficult life situation. On 5 August, a colleague had a meeting with the director of the enterprise to discuss the parameters of assistance provided by the enterprise.
In conclusion, the application for her transfer from the RSMU was written by Sanobarhon Khaidarova with her own hand from 1 August. Thus, the statements of a number of media outlets about the reduction of an employee are false. On the basis of this application of the employee, an order was issued on her admission to work at the RSMU (a copy is attached).
At present, the employee of the plant is in the burn department, in ward No. 8 of the Ferghana hospital, and she is receiving all the necessary medical care. Employees of the FNZP, colleagues Sanobarhon Dekhkonovna, as well as members of the Trade Union Committee of the enterprise are constantly in the chamber from the plant. The plant provides the employee with all the necessary medicines, as well as food. 12 employees of the plant have already donated blood for the victim.
The management of the plant once again emphasizes that today, in spite of any actions, Sanobarhon Khaidarova is an employee of our plant and our colleague. And from our side, she will be given all the necessary support and assistance in her recovery, both material and moral.
