Flag of Uzbekistan raised in New York’s Wall Street

A flag of Uzbekistan has been raised in Wall Street of New York in connection with the 23rd anniversary of Uzbekistan. The flag will wave in historic, cultural and financial center of New York from 1 to 7 September, Jahon news agency reported.
The event was organized by Permanent mission of Uzbekistan at United Nations, General Consulate in New York, American-Turkistan Association.
Over 100 guests participated at solemn ceremony of raising flags. Among them were representatives of public and political circles, mass media, representatives of Uzbekistan, Uzbek diaspora in New York, tourists and others.
After opening ceremony, flags of the United States and Uzbekistan were raised. Anthems of two nations were played. Uzbek music and dances were presented at the ceremony.
