Five Waste Removal Companies to Refund Over 8.8 Billion Soums to Residents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Territorial Office of the Competition Committee in Tashkent Region identified violations by five companies providing household waste removal services.

The inspection revealed that residents of some houses were effectively not receiving services, yet payments were being charged, and waste removal was carried out incompletely.

Following the investigation, the Special Commission initiated proceedings against RAHNAMO SERVIS LLC, ZERO-WASTE, ZANGIOTA OBODON, ANGREN BUNYOD FAYZ, and OHANGARON SANITARIYA TOZALASH.

As a result, the companies have been instructed to recalculate invoices and refund over 8.8 billion soums to approximately 250,000 consumers.

The companies also received recommendations to eliminate violations and prevent similar cases in the future.

The Competition Committee continues to systematically monitor regions across the country to protect citizens’ rights.
