Kazan (cauldron) weighing 3 tonnes, manufactured at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine, was installed in the park of culture and recreation named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.

To prepare the dish, 1.1 tonnes of wheat, 2.5 tonnes of flour, 250 liters of vegetable oil, 2.4 thousand tonnes of water and pebbles were used. Over 300 women took part in the process of cooking sumalak.
