Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – First Tashkent International Investment Forum will be held in the capital city of Uzbekistan.
This event will create a unique international platform in Central Asia, which will allow representatives of leading international companies looking for new growth points to enter the emerging market of Uzbekistan. Manzura Khasanova, head of the information service of the Agency for Strategic Development, announced this at a briefing at AIMK.
The Agency for Strategic Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan plans to implement the following activities in 2022:
In the first quarter:
- introduction of a new mechanism for initiating and implementing investment projects in the field;
- development of a strategy for attracting foreign direct investment until 2030, together with the World Bank;
- introduction of a national rating of the investment climate of the regions;
- holding a plenary meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors.
In parallel with the tasks set in the second quarter, it is planned to create a front office for foreign investors.
In the third quarter, it is planned to develop a package of measures to:
- infrastructure development strategies;
- industrial policy;
- support for small businesses.
It is also planned to cooperate with the UAE, the Russian Federation and South Korea in the development of strategic initiatives;
The fourth quarter provides for the implementation of several more important tasks, such as the development of:
- strategic planning systems;
- methodologies for the development strategy of regions and industries;
- online platforms for identifying and solving systemic problems of entrepreneurs.
