First groups of Uzbek pilgrims fly to Saudi Arabia
In line with the agreement with the Ministry of Hajj Affairs of Saudi Arabia, about 5,200 people from Uzbekistan will perform Hajj pilgrimage in 2015.
The pilgrims will be transported by Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) to Medina from Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Termez, Ferghana, Andijan and Urgench on 3-14 September.
About 25 members of the working group, 30 doctors and 10 cooks will render services to the pilgrims from Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia.
Before departure, pilgrims were vaccinated against neisseria meningitides and influenza. They also received print and video materials on pilgrimage rituals.
The hotels in Medina and Mecca, rented for the pilgrims from Uzbekistan, have TV-sets with the Uzbek channels, which will allow to receive information on events in Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek pilgrims will return to Uzbekistan from 27 September to 8 October 2015.
