First group of pilgrims heads to Saudi Arabia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A first group of pilgrims flied from Tashkent to Saudi Arabia with charter flight of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) on 6 July 2015 to perform Umrah pilgrimage.
The Committee on religious affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said that the group consists of 168 people. Overall, 670 citizens of Uzbekistan will perform Umrah piligrimage during Ramadan season.
The pilgrims from Uzbekistan will stay in Saudi Arabia for ten days. The group of doctors, cooks and members of the working group will provide various services to pilgrims, the committee added.
The Uzbek pilgrims have all necessary conditions in hotel, including Uzbek television. Tea room and medical point will provide services to the citizens of Uzbekistan.
