Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 October, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilhom Norkulov met with Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Central Asia Zsuzsanna Hargitai.

The meeting was also attended by the Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Uzbekistan Alkis Drakinos, EBRD Managing Director for Green Economy and Climate Action Henry Boyd-Carpenter and Deputy Director of the State Private Partnership Development Agency Nodir Nuritdinov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the transition to a green economy, decorbonization of the economy, the use of renewable resources, in particular, renewable energy sources, wind, solar energy, electric cars.

The parties also exchanged views on economic growth processes, macroeconomic stability, poverty reduction, living standards, job creation, energy, agriculture, copper industry programs, services, support private sector. 

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
