Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 April 2021, a meeting was held between the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodyk Safoev with the famous Russian political scientist, program director of the Valdai International Discussion Club Timofei Bordachev.

During the conversation, the issue of Uzbek-Russian cooperation was considered. Information was provided on the ongoing reforms in our country, including on strengthening relations with foreign countries, inter-parliamentary relations, improving the investment and business climate, as well as on the development of spheres.

It was noted that Timofei Bordachev is working on the preparation of the report of the Valdai Club, the provisions of which will be included in the new book of the Russian political scientist on the modern relations of the CIS countries, including Uzbekistan with the Russian Federation.

Timofei Bordachev highly appreciated the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in all spheres of the life of society - industry, tourism, transport, science and technology.

The role of parliamentary diplomacy in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation was emphasized.

The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
