Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 July at 15:52, the Surkhandarya Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report via the "112" emergency system about a fire involving dry vegetation in the Surkhan State Nature Reserve, located in the "Kizilolma" mahalla of Sherobod District. The affected area covered approximately 5 hectares.

Fire and rescue units, emergency service personnel, and representatives of relevant organizations promptly arrived at the scene.

The fire has now been brought under control. All necessary personnel and equipment were mobilized to extinguish the blaze.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was fully encircled and contained by 22:25.
