Fire in Apartment Building in Angren Brought Under Control, One Fatality Reported

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 February at 23:19, the Main Department for Emergency Situations of Tashkent Region received a report of a fire on the roof of a four-storey residential building located in the Ulugbek mahalla of the Dukent settlement in the city of Angren.

According to the information received, rescue units arrived at the scene at 23:30. All residents who were inside the building were promptly evacuated to a safe area.

The fire was localized at 23:57, after which active firefighting operations began. The necessary forces and equipment were deployed, and emergency services worked at the scene. The response and elimination of the consequences were personally overseen by Minister for Emergency Situations Azizbek Ikramov.

The fire was completely extinguished at 00:50.

As a result of the incident, one person lost their life. The cause of the fire and the extent of material damage are currently under investigation.
