Fire Extinguished at Park in Mall in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fire occurred on the third floor of the Park in Mall shopping and entertainment center in Tashkent.

According to the city’s Emergency Situations Department, the alert was received on March 15 at 13:18 at the complex located on Batyr Zakirov Street in the Shaykhantahur district. Fire and rescue teams arrived within a minute.

The fire was fully extinguished by 13:28. Approximately 25 square meters of the building were damaged, and preliminary reports indicate no injuries.

Officials noted that the shopping center has not yet been officially opened. The fire did not affect the children’s play area, and it occurred in a section where renovation work was underway.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident and assessing the material damage caused by the fire.
