Finland opens an honorary consulate in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Finland opened its honorary consulate in Uzbekistan on 11 April 2019.

Markku Keinänen, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and Finnish Ambassador to Uzbekistan with residence in Helsinki Marja Elina Liivala participated in the opening ceremony.

In his Twitter account, Markku Keinänen noted that the opening of the honorary consulate in Tashkent demonstrates Finland’s interest in deepening economic and cultural cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Alisher Juraev became the honorary consul of Finland in Uzbekistan.
