FinHarbor Completes Key Phase of Hybrid Neobank Platform Asterium in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — FinHarbor has completed a key phase in the development of a hybrid neobank platform for the Uzbek fintech project Asterium, which combines traditional banking services with digital assets within a unified regulated environment, the company reported.

The project is designed to operate within Uzbekistan’s national digital financial infrastructure, including the state digital asset HUMO and the distributed ledger system Mirasmanda, under the supervision of the National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP).

The Asterium platform, built on a microservices architecture and tailored to local market requirements, covers three core areas: banking infrastructure with management of fiat accounts and issuance of physical and virtual cards (VISA, MasterCard, HUMO); digital asset infrastructure with integration of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tron networks and connection to Mirasmanda; and a compliance module for KYC/KYB/AML/KYT to ensure adherence to both local and international standards. The platform supports asset exchange between fiat and cryptocurrency, including all major card transaction scenarios.

FinHarbor acts as Asterium’s strategic technology partner, providing ongoing platform support, implementing new features, and scaling infrastructure.

“The project required deep architectural customization—from integration with the national blockchain system to building compliance processes that meet international standards,” said Ilya Podoynitsyn. He added that completing this key phase will enable the next stage to launch user-facing products and expand the platform’s functionality for new business lines.

As a result, Asterium is set to become one of the first fully regulated platforms in Uzbekistan where traditional banking services and digital assets can coexist within a single legal and technological framework.
