Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Theft and other financial violations in the amount of 225 million soums were detected in medical institutions of Samarkand region.
In particular, a number of violations were revealed in the Samarkand branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology, as well as in the Samarkand city maternity complex No. 3. This was reported by the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that officials of the Samarkand branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology spent budget funds totaling 175 million soums when paid by unjustified accrual of maternity leave, sick leave, sick leave, vacation pay, as well as allowances 54 to the employees of the center.
It is also reported that in the Samarkand city maternity complex No. 3, 50 million soums were embezzled in the aforementioned similar cases.
The report also notes violations in Narpai district department of improvement.
Based on the results of the preliminary investigation, the regional prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under part 3 of article 167 (embezzlement by embezzlement or embezzlement) and other articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Investigative actions are underway.
In the course of studying such cases, conducted by the agency, it was found that budget funds totaling 563 million soums were embezzled in state institutions of the region.
