Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of the top management of a number of companies that are part of the Austrian business delegation. Among them are UniCredit Bank Austria, AME International, RIEF Financial communications, Advantage Austria, bit media e-solutions, and more.
On the part of the Ministry, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Odilbek Isakov, Director of the Public Debt Department Zhasur Karshibayev, Director of the Department for Capital Market Development Sarvar Akhmedov, Deputy Director of the Agency for the Development of Public-Private Partnership Nodir Nuritdinov and Head of the Public Debt Department Behruz Karimov.
Our side spoke about the ongoing work on the development of the private sector, the sale of state-owned objects to the public and business, primary (IPO) and secondary (SPO) public offering of shares on the stock exchange.
Spheres such as joint development of projects in the field of e-government and digital solutions, capital market and privatization, voice communication and data transmission systems were discussed by sides. Besides that, the experience of cooperation with AME International, which promotes the reform of domestic healthcare, including digital, the introduction of foreign medical know-how and the improvement of cardiological care to the population, is considered.
It should be noted that a special attention is paid to the possibility of attracting investment in health, education, road construction and other projects on the basis of public-private partnership.
The issues of ongoing projects with the participation of Austrian companies and banks as well as subsequent stages and conditions of attracting loans from Austrian banks for developing projects were discussed.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to explore options for close cooperation and exchange of experience in areas of mutual interest.
