Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In response to the announcement of the start of the first stage of the tender (Request for Qualification - RFQ) for independent electricity producers (investors-developers) on the project for the construction of 3 solar photovoltaic power plants (FES), the Ministry of Energy Republic of Uzbekistan received 15 applications from international companies.
The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Agency for the Development of Public-Private Partnerships with the support of the International Finance Corporation.
The project envisages the construction of three solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of up to 500 MW in Namangan, Bukhara and Khorezm regions.
The tender process is carried out in accordance with the highest international standards and requirements of openness and transparency. The request for qualifications was provided in the public domain in order to create conditions for everyone to participate in the tender.
After receiving bids from tenderers, the Tender Commission will assess the completeness and consistency of the bids received, after which a “short list” of qualified bidders will be announced, who will subsequently be admitted to the second stage of the tender (Request for Proposal - RFP).
