Field Seminar on the Use of Smart Agricultural Machinery from Malaysia Held in Tashkent Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan continues to actively introduce innovations and advanced foreign technologies in the agricultural sector.

A recent example of this was a field seminar held today in the Yangiyul district of the Tashkent region.

The event showcased the intelligent AGV “RACE Alpha 350,” developed by Malaysia’s Meraque Group Sdn Bhd — an autonomous vehicle designed for agricultural operations.

This equipment is being introduced as part of agreements signed in February this year during the visit of high-level Uzbek delegations to Malaysia. In accordance with the arrangements, Meraque Group, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the Research Institute of Agricultural Mechanization, is localizing the production of smart agricultural machinery and drones at the institute’s facilities.

Currently, the project is being implemented in several directions: joint production of smart agricultural equipment, training of specialists, implementation of joint projects, and the creation of an educational program with Tashkent State Agrarian University to prepare professionals skilled in operating intelligent machines and drones.

The field seminar provided a practical demonstration of the project’s achievements. Malaysian specialists presented the operation of the RACE Alpha 350, equipped with an artificial intelligence system, precision navigation, and an efficient sprayer.

Thanks to these technologies, human error is significantly reduced, productivity increases severalfold, and fuel consumption amounts to only 3 liters per 10 hectares of land. The machinery is controlled via a mobile application, allowing for considerable savings in fertilizers, fuel, and time.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, scientific researchers, university professors, young scientists, farmers, and industry experts. Participants noted that smart agricultural equipment can be effectively utilized in Uzbekistan’s conditions, promoting resource efficiency, environmental sustainability, and food security.

In addition to showcasing foreign innovations, the seminar also featured the latest achievements of Uzbek scientists, underscoring the potential for integrating domestic and international technologies in the agricultural sector.
