Festival of National Pilaf to be held in Uzbekistan

International Uzbek tourism exhibition “World of Leisure” will be held in Tashkent on 18-19 April 2013.

The festival will present various types of pilaf from all the regions of Uzbekistan and the visitors will have chance to taste them.

Having observed the peculiarities of pilaf preparation in each region, one will be able to see master classes on cooking of Samarkand, Tashkent, Fergana, Khorezm, Bukhara and Kashkadarya pilafs with further trade fair at the exhibition. Tourists will have unique chance to watch work of cooks.

Over 3,000 people will be able to visit the festival. Musical collectives will support the festival with their national music.

Within the exhibition, it is planned to hold a seminar “Gastronomic tourism”, which will be organized by Uzbektourism national company and Great Silk Road Advertisement Agency.

Representatives of hotels, tourism companies, restaurants, mass media representatives will participate at the seminar. UNWTO experts will present reports and participants will present their projects on gastronomic tourism.
