Ferghana Region Strengthens Cooperation with Sweden

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation led by Deputy Hokim of Ferghana Region Khurshidjon Akhmedov held a meeting with Nils Baptis, Chairman of the Council of Sweden’s Östergötland County.

During a friendly and open discussion, the parties exchanged views on further expanding bilateral ties and implementing new ideas and initiatives.

Khurshidjon Akhmedov emphasized that Ferghana Region is interested in strengthening cooperation with Östergötland across all areas, including tourism, culture, education, agriculture, construction, investment, socio-economic development, craftsmanship, and trade and industry.

The sides also discussed the implementation of mutually beneficial projects, the organization of international cultural events, experience exchange, and attracting investment.
