Ferghana Region Signs Memorandum with Chinese Investors on Agricultural Machinery Production

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Hokim of Ferghana Region Khayrullo Bozorov held a meeting with Chinese investors Yuan Yanpin and Shang Chun.

During the talks, the progress of a project to produce modern agricultural machinery at the Kokand Free Economic Zone branch in the city of Kuvasay was discussed.

Information was presented about one of the project’s initiating parties — the Chinese company China Yitou Group, a major manufacturer of agricultural and construction machinery in China. The company has 70 years of experience in producing agricultural equipment, diesel engines, drive systems, and other components.

The project plans to localize production within Uzbekistan.

The regional hokim emphasized that the project will secure a prominent position not only in the domestic market but also in the markets of Central Asia and CIS countries.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a trilateral memorandum of understanding.
