Ferghana region posts 10% GRP growth in 1H

The gross regional product of Ferghana region grew by 10% in January-June 2013, the session of the Deputies of the local council said.
The region increased industrial production by 8.5%, agriculture output – 7.6%, construction-contract works – 16.7%, retail trade turnover – 17.5%, paid services – 14.8%, consumer goods production – 4.5%.
Within the programme on complex territorial development, the region implemented 1,395 projects and used resources for US$65.1 million, UzA reported.
The region created 49,200 new jobs in the reporting period.
