Ferghana Region and Ulsan Strengthen Cooperation in the Field of Education
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Ferghana region visited the industrial complex of Ulsan, South Korea, and familiarized itself with the operations of its leading enterprises.
Known as the “industrial capital” of South Korea, Ulsan is home to advanced sectors such as mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, and petrochemicals. The city hosts Hyundai Motor’s largest automobile and shipbuilding plants.
Particular attention in Ulsan is given to the digital transformation of industry and the integration of manufacturing with information technologies. Local authorities are pursuing an ambitious goal — to turn Ulsan from an “industrial capital” into a “capital of artificial intelligence,” combining traditional industries with AI-based solutions.
All sectors are connected through a unified digital platform that enables centralized management and real-time monitoring of industrial processes.
During the meeting, representatives of Ulsan’s local administration presented ongoing projects and discussed prospects for cooperation in the development of IT and artificial intelligence in the Ferghana region, including potential educational and training programs to build local capacity in these fields.
