Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 March, the Ferghana Regional Information and Library Center hosted the “Ferghana–Pyeongtaek” business forum, focused on developing economic cooperation between the region and the city of Pyeongtaek, South Korea.
The forum brought together business representatives from both countries, entrepreneurs, leaders of chambers of commerce and industry, and sectoral organizations.

More than 50 enterprises with Korean capital are currently operating in the Ferghana region, with activities continuing to expand.
Mayor Chung Chang-sun underscored that strategic partnerships between the countries are actively developing, and cooperation with Ferghana plays a key role in strengthening business relations.
Leaders of the Ferghana and Pyeongtaek chambers of commerce, along with the vice president of the Korea–Uzbekistan Business Association, noted that the memorandum signed between the regions provides a solid legal foundation for joint projects.
During the forum, a video highlighting Ferghana’s investment appeal was presented, and Deputy Hokim Nuriddin Mamadjonov delivered a presentation on the region’s investment and export potential.
